Karina+Kind is an indy Australian art and design studio with a reputation founded on irresistible and uplifting colour palettes. In the beginning, Karina felt drawn to seamless pattern design in response to post-natal depression; this unswerving dedication to realise joy, beauty and charm found its expression in a growing, intentional fabric line. Self-expression, optimism and vibrancy have resulted in new timeless art prints being born in an era when we need it most. Family-run and purposefully limited in its choice of natural fibres, Karina+Kind’s shining and charismatic designs are melding contemporary illustration with the charms of yesteryear in an innovative, iconic and highly energetic fabric label.

"I started designing repeat patterns in 2018 when I was waiting for my first daughter to fall asleep at night. I would sit nearby and read or draw until she fell asleep!"
"In 2022 I began Karina+Kind with a focus on bright collage style florals and I’ve been motivated ever since. It's like art therapy for me. During my third pregnancy I was very aware that post-natal depression was very real for me so Karina+Kind kept me going."
"I don't have a degree in arts or design and I'm naturally shy! I grew up in a small country town with the beach, the forest and a cattle farm where I loved to explore. I was also lucky enough to live in the countryside of Norway in 2009 in a small place called Hvalstad with storybook fields, lakes and forest walks. As a result, Scandinavian design has highly influenced my art too."
